1. Rental Terms

All vehicle rentals arranged through Workington are governed by a written Rental Agreement provided with your booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. That agreement sets out the terms and conditions, insurance arrangements, applicable charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If any inconsistency arises between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence for the relevant rental.

2. Workington Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Workington, you must:

Be at least 21 years old for Workington rentals (age limits can vary by vehicle type; additional fees may apply to drivers under 25). Hold a full, valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address, and present a payment card in the driver’s name or other documentation required by Workington.

3. Workington Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Workington location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. 4. Vehicle Collection and Return — Workington

Inspect the vehicle at collection and report any existing damage to Workington immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed. Return the vehicle in the same condition as collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be assessed and charged to you.

5. Workington Insurance and Liability

Basic third-party insurance is included with all Workington rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are provided in the Rental Agreement. Optional insurance products may be offered to lower your financial liability. Please review these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Cancellation and amendment policies differ by booking type and required notice. Please consult your Workington booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for detailed terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Workington Restrictions

You must not use the Workington vehicle for:

Any illegal purpose or activity involving a Workington vehicle. Racing, rallying, off‑roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes for which the vehicle is not intended.

Violating Workington policies may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges.

8. Limitation of Liability for Workington

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Workington Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Workington Jurisdiction

These Terms, as they apply to Workington, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Workington Terms

Workington may amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect immediately upon posting to the Workington website. Continued use of Workington services constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
